KENT — A 44-year-old man who shot his ex-wife during a counseling session at a Federal Way church was sentenced Friday in Kent to 28 years in prison.
Charles Parsons had pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the March 2010 shooting of 38-year-old Carol Parsons.
King County prosecutors say Charles Parson wanted to reconcile and shot his ex-wife when she refused to leave her boyfriend.
The couple had divorced in 2008 and had three children.
