PHILADELPHIA — The hunt for two Philadelphia carjackers who rammed their stolen SUV into a family, killing three children, has entered its third day, with investigators saying they’re hopeful the suspects will soon be caught.
Investigators said Sunday that they are working hard to apprehend the men. The reward for the suspects’ capture stands at $110,000.
The two suspects fled on foot after crashing the vehicle Friday at a North Philadelphia intersection. Police say they carjacked a real estate agent at gunpoint and later forced her into the back seat of her SUV.
The slain children ranged in age from 7 to 15. They were selling fruit for their church at the time of the crash.
The children’s mother remains in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.
