SEATTLE — Three flamingo chicks that hatched about a month ago at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle are expected to make their public debut in a couple of weeks.
The Seattle Times reported that the zoo is keeping the chicks behind the scenes with their parents to improve their chance of survival.
Unlike their parents at a media event Wednesday the chicks look gray. The zoo says it takes a year or more to acquire pink feathers.
