EVERETT — Three people were hurt in a house fire Wednesday morning along Broadway in Everett.
Everett Fire firefighters responded around 4:15 a.m. to the 3400 block of Broadway and rescued two people from the home, according to the Everett Fire Department. A third person got out on their own.
Two people were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and one to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. All were in critical condition, per Everett Fire.
The cause of the fire was under investigation but investigators believe a space heater near a mattress may have started it.
The busy road was closed during the morning commute.
Red Cross was assisting two people.
