OAK HARBOR — Three people were injured when two cars collided on Highway 20 north of Oak Harbor early Sunday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A car carrying two 25-year-old women, one from Mount Vernon and one from Burlington, crossed the centerline and hit a car being driven by a 60-year-old Oak Harbor woman, according to a State Patrol press release.
Alcohol was involved in the crash, the release said.
It’s not certain which of the younger women was driving. The two were traveling northbound at 4:25 a.m. when the accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 20 and Monkey Hill Road.
The three women were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
