EVERETT — The three people killed by a teen driver fleeing police early Saturday in Everett have been identified.
On Tuesday, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the trio as Jonathan Anderson, 40, Nicholas Faix, 34, and Heather Sullivan, 25.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over a driver for a traffic violation, according to Everett police.
The driver fled. The deputy reportedly didn’t pursue. The driver quickly lost control, crashing into bystanders in the 11700 block of Airport Road, said Everett officer CJ Hawley. Anderson, Faix and Sullivan died at the scene. Two others, both women in their 20s, were taken to the hospital. One suffered back and leg injuries. The other sustained “multiple traumatic injuries,” according to the Everett Fire Department.
The two women were in stable condition this week, according to Everett police.
After the crash, police detained three teens who were in the car, but later released them at the scene, Hawley said. Investigators were unclear who was driving, as they gave conflicting accounts.
On Tuesday, Hawley said police had no further update on the investigation.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the crash to contact the police department’s tipline at 425-257-8450 or tips@everettwa.gov.
