PATEROS, Wash. — The Okanogan County sheriff says four men were arrested for allegedly killing a man in a fight and dumping his body in the Columbia River near Pateros.
Sheriff Frank Rogers said a man’s body was found partially submerged in the water at a boat launch south of Pateros on Highway 97 on Sunday morning.
Rogers says the suspects are expected to be booked into Okanogan County Jail on investigation of murder sometime Monday. The suspects and victim have not been identified.
Police believe the suspects killed the man during a fight at a property in Pateros, took the body to the boat launch and dumped it in the river.
The man’s cousin reported him missing on Saturday.
