LYNNWOOD – Four people were arrested Sunday after a late-night party ended with gunfire in Lynnwood, including a shot fired by a police officer.
No one was injured in the incident, which started just before midnight Saturday, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
Some unwanted people arrived at a house party in the 16500 block of 36th Avenue W, Sessions said. The people were asked to leave. They came back later with firearms.
Shots were exchanged by both groups, Sessions said.
A Lynnwood police officer arrived during the gunfire and fired one shot, she said.
Many people drove away from the party and police from Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Brier, Mountlake Terrace and Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies worked to find them.
Two adults and two juveniles were arrested and jailed. One of the juveniles has since been released, Sessions said.
Detectives do not believe the fight was gang-related, she said.
