SEATTLE — Former Seattle Mayor Charles Royer is one of four people nominated to replace King County Executive Ron Sims when he takes a job in the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The others are former county council members Louise Miller and Steve Hammond and Sims’ chief of staff, Kurt Triplett.
Members of the council submitted the four names Monday to be evaluated by a committee. The committee will recommend two to the council for a decision. The appointee will serve as county executive until the November election.
