The float features the festival board on a trailer built like a boat with youngsters playing in a kiddies’ pool.

Sunday’s lineup includes a Quadrathon (running, biking, swimming and boating) for individual as well as team competitors.

One of the new events is the $50 boat race in which individuals build a boat for $50 or less and skipper it in a short race. Other prizes will be awarded for novel categories such as “Looks like a real boat.”

The Aquafest Idols finals will be Sunday afternoon, along with a water skiing exhibition.
