EVERETT — At a time when many folks were headed to church, Everett police found themselves responding to a home-invasion robbery.
Later Sunday morning, officers arrested three men and two women in connection with the case, police Sgt. Ryan Dalberg said.
The initial call came from a home on the 3200 block of 18th Street in north Everett.
A man reported that three masked men forced their way inside his home when he opened the door around 6:30 a.m., Dalberg said. He told police that two women also rushed inside and started taking his things as he grappled with the male intruders.
The man who lives at the home reported seeing one assailant’s face when his mask fell off, Dalberg said. He also gave police a license plate number for the getaway car.
Based on that information, Marysville police stopped a car around 8 a.m. with matching plates and five people inside, Dalberg said.
The car’s occupants were detained without incident.
