SPOKANE — The on-again, off-again debate for the 5th District U.S. House seat is finally on for good.
U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., and Democratic challenger Daryl Romeyn will debate today.
McMorris initially said she did not have time to debate the underdog Romeyn. Then when she changed her mind Romeyn said he was not available.
The two candidates decided they could both show up today at a Spokane television studio. McMorris is heavily favored to win a fourth term against Romeyn, a former television journalist.
