SEATTLE — The National Weather Service says there were 650 lightning strikes across Western Washington on Friday.
KIRO-TV reported lightning and hail accompanied some heavy rain between Tacoma and Everett.
The weather service issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Seattle, Bremerton, Everett, Mount Vernon, Whidbey Island and surrounding areas.
Heavy rain pooled in roadways and made the evening commute difficult and several flights to Seattle were turned around during the storm.
