EVERETT — Thousands of homes and businesses around Everett and Marysville lost power Thursday.
Roughly 7,800 customers in Marysville and the Tulalip Reservation lost electricity about midday when a falling tree took out a critical power line, according to the Snohomish County Public Utility District.
Power was restored to at least most of the area after a couple hours.
Wind and falling tree branches likely caused several thousand more customers to go dark in Everett’s Beverly Park neighborhood and surrounding communities in the afternoon, PUD spokesman Neil Neroutsos said.
PUD crews soon had power restored for most of the approximately 6,625 affected customers. All were expected to have electricity back by early evening, he said.
