EDMONDS — Harry Truman was president when Doris Nelson started working at polling places for Snohomish County. Henry M. Jackson was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Those politicians have come, served and are gone, but Nelson, in a new century when George W. Bush is the president, is still there at the polls.
