EVERETT — A weekend snowfall brought out kids of all ages to build snowmen and go sledding.
Snow showers have blanketed most of Western Washington over the weekend, but more is on the way next week.
National Weather Service meteorologist Johnny Burg says more snow showers are expected through Tuesday, and although computers models aren’t complete, Wednesday is forecast to deliver the heaviest load of snow.
Snow fell heavier today than Saturday, snarling traffic in some places around Seattle and the suburbs. Buses were stuck on freeway ramps and cars were abandoned on roads.
Burg says temperatures will drop to the 20s overnight, freezing some of the leftover snow. Monday and Tuesday are expected to bring another few inches of snow accumulation.
The Cascade Range forecast is for more than a foot of fresh powder over the start of the week.
