Add a starting time for the special session to the list of items on which the House and Senate cannot agree.
This morning, Gov. Chris Gregoire met with Democratic and Republican leaders of both chambers. It ended with no consensus on whether the overtime period should begin Monday or a bit later.
Senate Democrats and Republicans as well as House Republicans prefer the extra session begin Monday while House Democrats would rather put it off a few days and spend the time trying to iron out some of the budget and policy differences.
The regular 105-day session is scheduled to end at midnight Sunday but lawmakers are talking of adjourning mid-day Friday and not return until the special session.
A spokesman for the governor said a decision will likely be announced sometime Friday.
