LYNNWOOD – Several southbound lanes of Highway 99 are blocked this morning as crews clean up an accident, officials said.
A vehicle crashed into a utility pole around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of 174th Street SW and Highway 99, said Shannon Sessions, a Lynnwood police spokeswoman.
The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle as a precaution, she said. The extent of the driver’s injuries was not immediately known.
Police hope to have all lanes of Highway 99 reopened by noon, Sessions said.
The crash is under investigation.
