Traffic is backed up on northbound I-5 from Everett Mall Way after an accident that occurred about 5:25 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
The accident is blocking the right lane of northbound I-5 just north of Highway 526. The merge lane from the northbound I-5 on-ramp is also blocked.
A pickup truck was seen dangling over an embankment on the east side of the freeway. Police have yet to report if any injuries are involved.
