SEATTLE — Early morning accidents have blocked northbound lanes of I-5 at Tumwater and Tukwila today.
A truck overturned about 2 a.m. at Tumwater spilling 20 tons of drywall. No one was hurt, but it’s taking hours to clean up the mess.
Commuters heading into Seattle are blocked by a fuel tanker trailer that overturned after 5 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 at Tukwila at the Duwamish River curve.
The truck reportedly collided with a taxicab. No injuries reported. The Transportation Department called the Ecology Department because of the risk of a spill.
Both accidents have backed up traffic for miles.
