Army Spec. Tyler C. Wright of Everett has graduated from basic tank crew training at Fort Knox, Ky., and currently is stationed at Schofield Barracks Army post on Oahu, Hawaii. He is the grandson of Jacque Blount Rieken Weston of Everett and son of Sherry Rieken of Everett and Jon C. Wright of Seattle. He is the nephew of Shelly (Rieken) Kessel of Dillon, Mont., and Samantha (Rieken) Barnett of Graham. Wright is a Mariner High School graduate.
Air Force Airman James A. Yadon has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Yadon is the son of Bobbie Novosel of Everett and Tyree Yadon of Auburn. In 2008, the airman graduated from Everett High School.
Army Spec. Peter G. Swardz has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Greg Swandz of Marysville. The specialist graduated in 2002 from Marysville-Pilchuck High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Washington State University.
Army Pvt. Anthony K. Burghduff has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Gerry Burke of Everett and brother of Keola Slavey of Silverton, Ore. Burghduff is a 2008 graduate of Silverton High School.
Brendan M. Harkess has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment, a course also known as Operation Warrior Forge at Fort Lewis in Tacoma. Upon successful completion of the course, the ROTC program and graduation from college, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, National Guard or Army Reserve. Harkess is the son of Brian and Judy Harkess of Lynnwood. Harkess graduated in 2004 from Lynnwood High School and earned an associate’s degree in 2007 from Seattle Community College.
Navy Reserve Seaman Apprentice Roger V. Rollin, son of Rosalia V. and Douglas Rollin of Oak Harbor, recently completed Navy basic training at Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Rollin is a 2008 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
Marine Corps 2nd Lt. Joshua J. Bauer, a 2000 graduate of Arlington High School, recently received his commission as an officer in the Marine Corps after completing Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Va. Bauer joined the Marine Corps in July 2000.
Michelle A. Liebel has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment, a course also known as Operation Warrior Forge at Fort Lewis in Tacoma. Army Reserve Pvt. Devlyn I. Linden has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Linden is the nephew of Diane Ammons of Everett. The private graduated from Mariner High School, Everett, in 2006.
