Navy Seaman John J. Heyde recently graduated from basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. Heyde serves as a reserve sailor stationed at Naval Station Everett on the USS Rodney M. Davis. Heyde also is a student at Western Washington University in Bellingham. He is the son of Jayne and John Heyde of Monroe and is a 2004 graduate of Monroe High School.
