Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Steven Anthony Jochim recently was promoted to his current rank. He is serving at Camp Pendleton, Calif. A former member of the Reserve Officer Training Corps, Jochim attended Arlington High School and graduated in 2011 from Kent-Meridian High School. He is the son of Kelli Perkins of Arlington and Ronald Jochim of Kent.
Air Force Airman Angel Aronica graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Aronica is the daughter of Tammi Aronica of Lake Stevens and sister of Carlee Aronica of Everett. She is a 2009 graduate of Stanwood High School.
Navy Seaman Recruit Skyler Rivera, son of Ramon Rivera and stepson of Theresa Booth of Snohomish, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Rivera is a 2011 graduate of Snohomish High School.
Navy Seaman Recruit Christopher Barnard, son of Julie Coleman of Oak Harbor and Gene Barnard of Lakeside, Calif., recently graduated with honors from U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Barnard is a 2008 graduate of El Capitan High School in Lakeside, Calif.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Kyle Brunson, son of Karen Eggett of Kearns, Utah, and Evan Brunson of Oak Harbor, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Brunson is a 2009 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
