Two Navy Airmen, Sean P. Donovan, son of Rosann Ryan of Lake Stevens and Ronald Donovan of Marysville, and Dimas B. Prasetya, a 2002 graduate of Stanwood High School, returned to sea after two-months in port while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk in Yokosuka, Japan. Donovan is a 2004 graduate of Lake Stevens High School.

Marine Corps Pvt. Anthony R. Thompson, son of Rick Thompson and stepson of Lara Thompson of Stanwood, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego.

Army Private Matthew J. Meckley, a 2005 graduate of Lake Stevens High School, has been working temporarily with recruiters of the Army’s recruiting station in Everett. He is the son of Matthew and Judy Meckley of Everett.

Air Force Airman Nicholas G. Patton has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Patton is the son of Rex Patton of Stanwood. He’s a 2004 graduate of Stanwood High School. Johnson is a 2005 graduate of Lakewood High School.

Fredric W. Forsberg recently graduated from basic military training and advanced skill training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He’s now assigned to Camp Kasey, South Korea. Son of Carl and Deborah Forsberg, he attended Cascade High School and graduated from Independence High School in Sedro-Woolley.

Air Force Airman Drew J. Carpenter has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the son of Juanita Carpenter of Bothell. Carpenter is a 2005 graduate of Bothell High School.

Army Reserve Pfc. Ryan N. Christopherson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Mark Christopherson of Everett, and Fran Traxler of Shoreline. Christopherson is a 2004 graduate of Mariner High School.
