Spc. Shawn P. Brodland has graduated from basic training in Fort Jackson, N.C. He is in advanced training at Fort Belvoir, Va. He is the son of Loren and Louise Brodland of Marysville. Brodland is a 1996 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Washington.
Pfc. Andrew J. Brodland has graduated from basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. He is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He is the son of Loren and Louise Brodland of Marysville. Brodland is a 2003 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Spc. Ashleigh Russell recently won the HHC, 44th Medical Command’s Soldier of the Month Board award. Russell is a paralegal specialist in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, N.C. She is the daughter of Ched and Kate Follis of Everett. Russell is a 2002 graduate of Everett High School.
Army National Guard Spc. Andrew H. Weaver has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Bill and Lainie Weaver of Snohomish. Weaver, a 1994 graduate of Woodland High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in 2000.
Army Pfc. Timothy M. Myers has graduated from basic training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Darlene Golden of Clearwater, Kan. and Jeff Myers of Coupeville. Myers is a 2002 graduate of Clearwater High School.
Air Force Airman Roldan A. Carlson has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Carlson is the son of Ronald and Lynette Carlson of Lynnwood. He is a 2001 graduate of Mariner High School.
Air Force Airman Travis E. McDermott has arrived for duty at Minot Air Force Base, N.D. McDermott, a communication and navigation specialist, is assigned to the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. He is the son of Jennifer and Michael McDermott of Everett. McDermott is a 2001 graduate of Snohomish High School.
Army Reserve Pvt. Evan T. Dodson has graduated from the Unit Supply Specialist advanced training course at the Quartermaster Battalion at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Va. Dodson is the son of Dennis and Susan Dodson of Edmonds.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Chad G. Neil has graduated from the Ground Radar Systems Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. He is the son of Bruce and Gail Neil of Oak Harbor. Neil, a 1996 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, received a bachelor’s degree in 2003 from Central Washington University.
