Air Force Airman Cody F. Brooke has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Brooke is the son of Candy and Robert Brooke of Lake Stevens. He is a 2002 graduate of Lake Stevens High School.

Army Pvt. David L. Neff has graduated from the power-generation equipment repairer advanced individual training course at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, Md. Neff was trained to perform unit, direct support or general support maintenance functions on power-generation equipment. Neff is the son of Wanell McGee of Spokane and Patrick Neff of Lynnwood.

Air Force Senior Airman Joshua S. Diggs has been deployed to Iraq. The soldier is regularly assigned to one of the various camps and units of the 2nd Infantry Division, 8th U.S. Army, based in South Korea. Diggs, a tactical air command and control journeyman, is the son of Charles and Mary Diggs of Marysville. He is a 2001 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. John-Michael McCreary has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. McCreary is the son of Clarence and Virginia McCreary of Lynnwood. He is a 2004 graduate of the high school program at Edmonds Community College.

Army Spc. Jamie C. Trattles has been deployed to Iraq. The soldier is regularly assigned to one of the various camps and units of the 2nd Infantry Division, 8th U.S. Army based in South Korea. Trattles, a chemical operations specialist, is the granddaughter of Judy Polzin and niece of Christa Polzin of Edmonds. She is a 2001 graduate of Edmonds-Woodway High School.

Army Staff Sgt. Travis L. Switalski has been deployed to Iraq. The soldier is regularly assigned to one of the various camps and units of the 2nd Infantry Division, 8th U.S. Army based in South Korea. Switalski, an infantryman, is the son of Timothy Switalski of Oak Harbor and Luanne DiMaggio of Kettle Falls. His wife, Metta, is the daughter of John Smith of Anacortes. Switalski is a 1996 graduate of Anacortes High School.
