Air Force Airman Joshua D. Gross has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force in San Antonio. Gross is the son of Lenea Dyer and Jon Gross of Lynnwood. He is a 2002 graduate of Meadowdale High School.
Air Force Airman Joseph A. Stoltz has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Stoltz is the grandson of Diane Parker of Lynnwood. He is a 2004 graduate of Lakes High School in Tacoma.
Jonathan J. Sobiech, whose father-in-law is a Monroe resident, is a forester with the Army Corps of Engineers who has been assisting recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan since September. His duties in Florida have included site assessments of mobile home and RV parks and campgrounds to locate areas for new mobile homes for people who have been displaced. He also helped with construction of 200-unit RV parks at two spots in Pensacola. Sobiech’s forestry duties are with the LaCrescent Natural Resource Project Office with the St. Paul District in Minnesota. His wife is Christa, daughter of Dennis Jones of Monroe.
