Air Force Airman Timothy A. Lee has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Lee, a 1997 graduate of Kamiak High School, is the son of Insook Lee of Mukilteo.

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Nate Fuchs deployed to Iraq in February, 2004. He is serving with Marine Wing Support Group 37 as an aircraft rescue firefighter. He is a 2002 graduate of Snohomish High School and is the son of Tom and DeeAnn Fuchs of Snohomish.

Cadet Joshua Sands, son of Blanche Sands of Woodinville and the late Murray Sands, was named to the dean’s list at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Sands graduated from Monroe High School in 2001. He is concentrating his studies in leadership and plans to graduate in 2007. Sands will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army when he graduates.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Monique D. Licata has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Licata is the daughter of Barbara Knezevich of Lynnwood. The airman graduated in 2001 from Lynnwood High School and received an associate degree in 2003 from Edmonds Community College.

Navy Ensign Larquis L. Sowell, son of Jacquelyn Sowell of Oakdale, Minn., and Llyod Sowell of Everett, recently received his commission as a naval officer after completing officer candidate school at Naval Aviation Schools Command, Pensacola, Fla.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Cassandra J. Denton has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Denton is the daughter of Tracy Jellison of Marysville and Timothy Denton of Snohomish. She is a 2000 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class James S. McDowell has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. McDowell is the son of Susan Kingsbury and the grandson of Doris Armstrong, both of Everett. He is a 2003 graduate of Mariner High School.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Brandon W. Authier has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. A 2001 graduate of Mariner High School, Authier is the son of Rebecca Hollenbeck of Everett.

Air Force Airman Jennifer L. Wetzel has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Wetzel is the daughter of Donald Wetzel of Snohomish. She is a 2002 graduate of Snohomish High School.

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Aaron E. Coleman, son of Nancy and Wayne Coleman of Stanwood, recently departed on a routine deployment with the guided missile cruiser USS Ticonderoga.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew B. Dickson, son of Jennifer Gray of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Robert Dickson of Arlington, recently graduated from the Navy’s nuclear power school at Naval Nuclear Power Training Course, Goose Creek, S.C. Dickson is a 2002 graduate of Arlington High School and joined the Navy in February 2003.
