Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Josiah Westfall has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Mariner High School in 2003. Westfall is now attending technical school in Gulfport, Miss., and is home for Christmas leave with his family. His first deployment will be in Korea.
Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Tyler R. Funk of Snohomish recently graduated from Air Traffic Controller School. During the course, students receive basic control tower and radar control training. Funk is a 2002 graduate of Snohomish High School and joined the Marines in January 2003.
Army Pvt. Kyle F. Drube has graduated from basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. Drube is a 2003 graduate of Granite Falls High School.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Daniel J. Camarillo recently reported for duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. Camarillo is a 2002 graduate of Lake Stevens High School.
Marine Corps Pvt. Colin C. Bates, a 2003 graduate of Snohomish County Christian School, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif.
