Two Everett-based sailors received the annual Hal S. Lewis Leadership Excellence Award on April 10 at Naval Station Everett. Members of the Navy League Council Everett presented the awards to Gunner’s Mate 1st Class Joshua Blodgett, assigned to the USS Momsen and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Sean Coffey, assigned to Branch Health Clinic Everett.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jacob P. Thomle has graduated from the Navy’s Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, S.C. Thomle is the son of Douglas and Connie Thomle of Tulalip. He is a 2009 graduate of Marysville Arts and Technology High School. He earned an associate degree in 2011 from Shoreline Community College.
Army Pvt. John C. Lara has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Lara is the son of Cheryl and James Nadeau of Everett.
