Air Force Airman Daniel Elliott Jr. graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Dan Elliott Sr. of Arlington and Kim Elliott of Marysville. Elliott graduated in 2007 from Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Air Force Staff Sgt. Elizabeth Forrest received an honorable discharge after completing her four-year tour of duty. At Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, she worked as a mental health technician. While serving at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, she helped evacuate wounded soldiers. She plans now to complete a bachelor’s degree in business. Forrest is the daughter of Randy and Sandy Forrest of Marysville.
Army Pvt. Jordan Hynd has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Hynd is the son of Diane Swift of Arlington and John Hynd of Marysville.
Army Reserve Spec. Leslie Norales has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Norales is the daughter of Josefa Lima of Oak Harbor, and is a 2010 graduate of Chapman University, Oak Harbor.
