Air National Guard Maj. Philip R. Clark, son of Richard and Lois Clark of Everett, recently served in northern Uganda supporting a military exercise that focused on humanitarian assistance to Ugandans, along with cooperation between American troops and five countries in central and eastern Africa. More than 12,000 Ugandans received medical attention. Clark is a dentist with the 194th Medical Group at Camp Murray. He worked alongside Ugandan and Rwandan dentists to offer help. Clark arrived in Africa with expertise based on his military career. He has been in the military for five years.
Army Pvt. Chauncey “C.J.” Talley Jr. graduated from basic training Nov. 20 at Fort Jackson, S.C. Talley is a 2007 graduate of Mariner High School. He currently is stationed at Fort Gordon, Ga., for advanced individual training. His mother is Laurie Williams of Lynnwood.
Air Force Airman Derek T. Radek graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Thomas and Kimberly Radek of Snohomish and is a 2009 graduate of Snohomish High School.
Air Force Airman Jason M. Partin graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Mike Partin of Danville, Ill., and Brenda Grigsby of Oak Harbor.
Air Force Airman Michael S. Repose graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Ed and Edith Repose of Oak Harbor and is a 2009 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
Army National Guard Pfc. Mark Voiles has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Dedi Kowalczyk of Marysville and is a 2006 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
