Air Force Airman Jomar Perez graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Jose and Delia Perez of Marysville.

Air Force Airman Kenyon Hoover graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Kenyon and Virginia Hoover of Lake Stevens, and is a 2008 graduate of Lake Stevens High School.

Air Force Airman Niko Valdez graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Diane Valdez of Oak Harbor, and is a 2009 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Army Pvt. Ryan Withers has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo. He is the brother of Caitlyn Withers of Stanwood and is a 2000 graduate of Stanwood High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Stephanie Fleek has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Kathy McGill of Ellensburg and stepdaughter of Thomas Destefano of Monroe. The private is a 2007 graduate of Monroe High School.

Army National Guard Pvt. Tristan Roberts has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. Roberts is the son of Tammy Hemming of Marysville.

Army Pvt. Nicholas G. Omahen has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. Omahen is the grandson of Jane Jackman of Bothell.

Air Force Airman Michael P. Anderson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Kimberlee Murders of Russellville, Ark., and Matthew Anderson of Oak Harbor.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Sarah C. Garcia has graduated from the personnel apprentice course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. Garcia is assigned to the 81st Training Wing at Keesler. The airman is the daughter of Edita Garcia, and niece of Josefina and Miguel Estrella, all of Oak Harbor.

Navy Seaman Recruit Matthew J. Johnston, a 2007 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Army National Guard Spec. Heather M. Luke has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Luke is the daughter of Kim Luke of Bothell and a 2003 of Inglemoor High School in Kenmore. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Central Washington University.

Navy Ensign Kelly A. Wehle, daughter of retired Navy Lt. Cmdr. John K. and Catherine Wehle of Lake Stevens, recently received her commission as a naval officer after completing Officer Candidate School at Officer Indoctrination School, Newport, R. I. Wehle is a 2004 graduate of Nelson County High School of Bardstown, Ky., and is a 2009 graduate of University of Kentucky, Lexington.
