Air Force Airman Anthony R. Martinez graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Josie Carrillo of Bothell and the grandson of Janie Martinez of Heyburn, Idaho. Martinez is a 2006 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School, Mill Creek.
Air Force Airman 1st Class James M. Rodrick graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Rodrick is the son of Teresa Rodrick of Boise, Idaho, and grandson of Susan Linson of Lake Stevens.
Navy Ensign Jesse R. Kumbera, daughter of Jeanette and Mark Kronquist of Marysville and Kelly and Elizabeth Kumbera of Kissimmee, Fla., recently received her commission as a naval officer after completing Officer Candidate School at Officer Indoctrination School, Newport, R.I. Kumbera is a 2004 graduate of Interlake High School in Bellevue. She joined the Navy in September 2009.
Navy Seaman Eric N. Reeves, a 2009 graduate of Monroe High School, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
