Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Ian P. Stewart of Snohomish recently graduated from reconnaissance training at Camp Pendleton, Calif. He is assigned to the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion and currently is stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He is the son of Tomm and Boukje Stewart of Snohomish and is a 2006 graduate of Snohomish High School.
Air Force Airman Melissa M. West has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Dusty West of Granite Falls and Deanna West of Marysville. The airman is a 2008 graduate of Granite Falls High School.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Stephanie L. Nordstrand has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Steven and Cheryle Nordstrand of Oak Harbor and is a 2006 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
Army Pvt. Grant S. Blackman has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the son of Kennis Blackman of Snohomish and is a 2008 graduate of Independence High School in Sedro-Woolley.
