The crew of the USS Ford returned to its homeport in Everett on Thursday after a six-month deployment in the western Pacific.
The 453-foot guided-missile frigate carries a crew of about 220.
The Ford took part in training exercises. Crew stops included Japan, Russia, Singapore and India, Navy officials said.
Army Pvt. Renardo Mohiswarnath has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Mohiswarnath is the son of Derick Mohiswarnath of Marysville. He is a 2010 graduate of Marysville Pilchuck High School.
Navy Airman Apprentice Stacie Cave, granddaughter of Sandra McCaully of Darrington, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Cave is a 2009 graduate of Darrington High School.
Navy Seaman Marc Fouts, son of Tina Ricketts of Port Orchard and Marc Fouts of Everett, was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Fouts is a 2011 graduate of Klahowya Secondary School of Silverdale.
