EVERETT – Airport Road near Highway 99 was reopened this afternoon after a serious injury accident between a passenger car and two semi trucks this morning sent a 77-year-old woman to the hospital.
The driver woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with what appeared to be serious injuries, said Leslie Hynes, a Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman. Her condition was not immediately available this afternoon.
The crash occurred around 9:15, she said.
A semi pulling a mobile home and a second truck hauling auto parts collided with the car, Hynes said.
Sheriff’s detectives believe the woman apparently cut in front of one of the trucks causing the crash, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
