JUNEAU, Alaska — The Alaska Marine Highway System says its 2014 summer ferry schedule is out and it has begun booking advance ticket sales for next year.
General manager John Falvey told the Juneau Empire that the system’s goal is to release the summer schedule as early as possible so Alaskans and visitors can plan trips.
The ferry system reached record-high revenue of $53 million this year without increasing fares.
The increased riders included more than 114,000 vehicles.
Ferry officials said revenue covered 30.7 percent of the system’s operating cost.
