BELTON, Mo. — Two men are accused of peddling drugs so openly near schools in this Kansas City suburb that they even handed out business cards.
Collus Watson, 26, and Raymond Bentley, 18, both of Belton, were arraigned Tuesday on felony charges of distributing drugs near a school.
The men allegedly handed out business cards, complete with a name — "Dunn Deal Enterprises" — and a phone number. One card showed a drawing of a fist holding a wad of cash; another showed what appeared to be a marijuana leaf.
Police said they began investigating reports of drug sales — and of the business cards showing up in Belton High School and Yeokum Middle School — after a seventh-grader was caught with marijuana Nov. 14.
The student said he used the business card to buy the drugs, according to court documents.
Undercover police didn’t have to work hard to trap the two alleged dealers: They just called the number on the business card.
