ARLINGTON – An Amber Alert was issued late Wednesday for two children who were inside a minivan when a man reportedly carjacked it from their mother at knife-point.
The silver 2001 Chrysler Town &Country van, Washington license plate 135 UGD, was last seen about 8:30 p.m. traveling eastbound in the 2400 block of 128th Street NE.
Missing are Abigail Sobania, 4, and Caleb Sobania, 2. Abigail is described as having shoulder-length, sandy blond hair. She was wearing a red shirt with the word “sweety” printed on it, red pants and black boots. Caleb has blond hair and blue eyes and was wearing a blue and yellow shirt, blue sweat pants and white tennis shoes.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, standing about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with a shaved head and a slight goatee. He was wearing a navy blue or black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Arlington police and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
