Melvin and Elaine Andrews of Everett celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a luncheon reception on June 11 for family and friends. The couple were married June 10, 1955, at Bethany Christian Assembly in Everett where they met.
Melvin and Elaine have always lived in Snohomish County. They have attended the assembly throughout their 50 years of marriage.
The couple have two children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Donald and Shirley Ross of Mill Creek will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 18. The couple were married June 18, 1955, at Central Baptist Church in Hartford, Conn.
They lived in Kalamazoo, Mich., until 1968, then moved to Washington state.
Donald and Shirley have four children and seven grandchildren.
Betty and Verne Arnold of Everett celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in May. They were married at the First Methodist Church in Seattle on May 11, 1940.
Betty and Verne celebrated their anniversary with a visit to the Grand Canyon. They saw several friends along the way. It turned out to be a 3,200-mile journey, but worth the effort to see the awe-inspiring canyon.
The Arnolds have four children, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
