SEATTLE — Health officials say Washington residents who didn’t finish applying for health insurance before open enrollment ended on March 31, should contact them about getting more time.
The Healthplanfinder has been reaching out to people who ran into technical problems finishing their applications.
Now they’re seeking customers who say they weren’t able to even start their applications.
Those people are asked to fill out a form online to start the process. Or they can contact the Washington exchange on the phone or visit an insurance broker or navigator to help them with their application.
Officials at the health exchange say it will take a few weeks to review those applications and decide who can take advantage of the special enrollment period.
Those who qualify for free insurance through the Medicaid program may apply year-round.
