Quilting show winner: Eunice Quinby of Mukilteo won a first-place ribbon for her quilt "Something My Grandfather Would Like" in the Quilters Anonymous 23rd Annual Quilt Show in Monroe March 5-7.
The quilt won first place in the large-pieced quilts by individuals division. More than 450 quilts were entered in the overall competition.
Drake of Edmonds was recently awarded with the Girl Scouts – Totem Council’s "Thanks Badge Award" for outstanding service to the scouts.
For seven years he has served as the staff product sales specialist for the totem council.
Dale Miller of Lynnwood was recently awarded the council’s "Honor Pin" for exceptional service to the scouts.
For seven years Miller was led the first-ever comprehensive master plan for camp properties and facilities for the board of directors.
The National Association of Industrial Office Properties of Edmonds was recently awarded the "Totem Sculpture" for meritorious service by the council.
The group chose the council as the beneficiary of its annual Community Enhancement Project. The group donated approximately $60,000 to build seven new wagons at the Girl Scouts’ Camp River Ranch in Carnation.
