Eagle Scout: Matthew Rodriguez, son of Larry and Peggy Rodriguez of Mukilteo, recently earned his Eagle Scout award. He is active in Everett Troop 18. Rodriguez recruited 22 volunteers and worked to dig out non-native plants and trash and other debris from a grove of trees at Spruce Park in Lynnwood.

Eagle Scout: Michael J. Hodgins, son of John and Lorraine Hodgins of Marysville, recently earned his Eagle Scout award. He is active in Everett Troop 18. For his project, Hodgins recruited volunteers to help him do several projects at the Marysville-Pilchuck High School pool such as repainting the bleachers, repainting diving signs and building an outside walkway and planting grass by it.

Eagle Scout: Paul Jellison, son of Brian and Kay Jellison of Edmonds, recently earned his Eagle Scout award. He is active in Mukilteo Troop 189. For his project, Jellison worked with Mukilteo’s public works director to educate the community on how wastewater introduced into the storm drain system flows directly into local streams and potential salmon habitat. The project required 203 man hours to complete, involved volunteer assistance from 17 other Scouts and six adults, and included mapping and labeling of more than 1,000 public storm drains in the Mukilteo area.
