A team of four students from Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek won second place in a nationwide Construction Industry Roundtable building design contest. Teams submit a solution to one of several design prompts. This year saw 60 entries. Jackson’s design, “Releasing the Dragon,” redesigns the King Street Station area in Seattle’s International District.
Team members were Ryan Chu, Iman Haji, Andrew Hyun and Jean Kim. Their advisors were Kyle Kiser, Martin Sicotte and Juan Pedro Alvarez, architects at LMN Architects in Seattle.
