Arlington School District career and technical education teacher Collin Nelson was named Rookie Teacher of the Year by the Washington Industrial Technology Education Association. Nelson splits his time between Post and Haller middle schools. Some projects Nelson has led students through include making an end table, and breaking down a pallet and coming up with a new design.
”I love pushing them farther so they can work on more complicated projects,” he said.
