Arlington delays 188th Street NE closure

ARLINGTON — Arlington’s 188th Street NE won’t be closed next week, as previously announced by the city.

The closure has been rescheduled for June, a city spokesman said.

At that time 188th Street NE, from 67th Avenue NE to 59th Drive NE, will close for a week to allow for the reconstruction of the street, which will have a new road base and wider lanes.

The street is an important link between two industrial corridors as well as the primary access for two of the city’s popular parks.
