Until recently, Arlington City Councilman Dan Anderson planned an anti-pornography initiative for the Legislature.
But now he’s going to withdraw it and draft two initiatives to the people instead. He and a newly formed steering committee decided Thursday morning to do a mailing to gauge the interest in a measure making it a crime to furnish children with pornography and another proposal requiring library board trustees to become elected positions, not appointed. They hope to start collecting signatures in January. For more information, call Anderson at 360-435-7406.
