ARLINGTON — One of the city’s most popular events is its annual spring cleanup.
Pick-up trucks piled high with junk clog the roads leading to the free dump site at Arlington Airport one Saturday each year.
Arlington residents can get rid of unwanted stuff this year from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the 188th Street entrance to the airport.
A copy of your residential Arlington water-sewer billing statement is your ticket to dump, and it must be presented at the gate.
The clean up is not intended for businesses or commercial vendors, city officials said.
Disposal of the following items is allowed:
What’s not allowed are hazardous waste, yard debris and household garbage.
The lineup begins on 188th off Smokey Point Boulevard and heads east to the dump site entrance. The site also can be entered from 47th Avenue NE and 188th.
