The Arlington High School Interact Club participated in the Point in Time count of local homeless persons and met a young woman living in her car with a young child. The experience inspired them to collect baby items for the mother and for others like her. The teens went on to collect $1,100 as well as 25 cases of diapers, 54 packs of wipes, 20 pacifiers, 48 cans of infant formula, 12 bottles of Pediasure and 113 jars of baby food for the Community Resource Center of Arlington.
